Washing & Durability of DTF Transfers

The longevity and quality of a DTF transfer depends largely on the care given to the textile after application. To ensure that your print remains intact and retains its shine, here are some essential recommendations for washing: Wash temperature: It is crucial not to exceed a temperature of 104°F when washing.

High temperatures can affect the adhesion of the ink to the textile, which could lead to peeling or discoloration of the transfer.

Inside Out Wash: To protect the transfer from direct abrasion with other garments or washing machine items, always turn the textile inside out before washing.

Avoid harsh detergents: Some detergents contain bleaches or chemicals that can affect the color and quality of the transfer. Opt for mild detergents and avoid using bleach or fabric softeners.

Drying: Avoid drying the textile in the dryer at high temperatures. Open air is the best way to dry textiles with DTF transfers. If you must use a tumble dryer, opt for a low temperature setting.

Ironing: If you need to iron the textile, avoid ironing directly on the transfer. Use a sheet of parchment paper or thin cloth as an intermediary, and iron at a low temperature.

Storage: DTF transfers can be kept for several months as long as they are stored in a place that is free from humidity and temperature changes.
